We participated in the CyberPatriot's Sneak Peek round, working with the Windows 10, Windows Server 2016, and Ubuntu 16 images. We are excited for this year's round of competitions!

Virginia Wing's Second Annual Cyber Camp was a great success!

June, 2016: 

Related to cyber education, our team captain and mentors are actively assisting in planning Virginia Wing's second annual Cyber Camp. The event will challenge all levels of knowledge and skill from beginner to experts. Topics include networks, operating systems, workstation fundamentals, server configuration, security, forensics, mitigation of threats, and learning to secure your own electronics. 


April, 2016:

In April, we traveled to Baltimore to observe the national competition and cheer on our fellow Civil Air Patrol teams competing in the open service division. Captain Bixler met Lieutenant General James McLaughlin, deputy commander of US Cyber Command.




March 2016:




At our squadron banquet, we thanked and recognized Captain Warren DiLandro and his company, GHD, for supporting the squadron by the use of their facilities for our CyberPatriot practices and competitions during the VIII season 2015-2016. 








February, 2016:

Our teams dwindled down in size due to other commitments but that doesn't stop the motivation of some of our cadets! Our platinum team is pictured below, and did a great job competing in the semi-final round with just two individuals.
